Programme and Courses

Intermediate Courses:

The college imparts teaching at Intermediate level since year 1962 in all the three streams viz. Science, Arts, and Commerce. Maximum 512 girl students are allowed to take admission in each stream. In science, out of 512 seat, 256 seat each is allotted to Mathematics and Biology students. A student has to opt at least two Compulsory Papers and three Optional Papers of 100 marks in each stream.The Intermediate degree is awarded by Bihar school Examination Board (Senior Secondary), Patna.

Undergraduate courses:

The College imparts Honours level teaching in 20 subjects since year 1962. These subjects are:

Science: Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics & Zoology
Commerce: Account, Marketing
Arts: Economics, English, Hindi, History, Home Science, Maithili, Music,Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, Sociology & Urdu

The degree is awarded by L. N. Mithila University, Darbhanga.

Postgraduate courses:

The college imparts postgraduate teaching in 10 subjects since year 1985. These subjects are:

Faculty of Science: Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics & Zoology
Faculty of Humanity: English & Hindi
Faculty of Social Science: Economics, History & Political Science

72 students are admitted in each subject of Science Faculty, whereas in remaining subjects of Humanities and Social Science Faculty, 120 students are admitted. The degree is awarded by L. N. Mithila University, Darbhanga.
